I remember so well Grandma sitting in the Kitchen and I knew when I come home and would yell out," Ma I'm home ",she would be there to answer . How sometimes I didn't want to leave her room and so I would sleep in that big chair in her bedroom until she woke me up and told me go to sleep.And how I use to be jealous when she use to put Rhea to sleep by bouncing her and singing this song that I know use to put babies to sleep .My gran apple will live on forever !!! She took my heart and left hers for all of us to share.
There is so much I can share about grandma. But one thing that came to mind sitting here wishing I could be home with my family during this time. Grandma, sitting up in her bed, covers pulled to her waist, light by her nightstand on, television low in the background, her glasses on and she is playing crossword puzzles! She LOVED those crossword puzzles. I can't figure those things out worth my life, but she sure could!
Okay, one more memory. Grandma on the piano! Her fingers would move over those keys like Liberache. She made the piano sing! I can just hear her now playing right now and singing in her high, soprano voice. And if someone would sing and needed her back-up, she tickled a few keys and within moments was right on track with whatever that person was singing. It was just natural for her.
I'm going to miss her.
